Staff Training and Development Programmes

Staff trainings are an integral part of the University and numerous programmes are conducted prioritizing the staff/faculty member’s professional growth and for providing the desired standards of quality education.
The University aims at imparting training to internal and external stakeholders for continuous improvement in job performance. Internal stakeholders include academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, research scholars, students, administrative staff and support staff. External stakeholders comprise of academic and corporate professionals from any organization.


Key Objectives of the Practice.

Types of Faculty/Staff Development Programs.

  • Academic Outreach Training Programme

In House Faculty Development Programs.
In House Faculty Development Programs are designed to improve the quality of teaching, research and extension services. It mainly focuses on discipline specific, core competence development, system related training on updating in University policies & procedures and soft skill development.

In-House Staff Development Programs:
Staff Development Programs endeavoured to enhance various job relevant competencies of administrative and technical staff. The programs mainly focused on core competence development, knowledge about the University system and soft skill development.

Academic Outreach Training Programs (AOTPs)
These programs are conducted to contribute towards improvement in the standards of imparting quality professional education in the country and to support higher education institutions in fostering research, innovation and entrepreneurship through training in various emerging areas. Academic Outreach Training Programs (OTP) were offered in the form of

  • Refresher Courses as per UGC norms
  • Short Term Courses
