Freshmen Induction Program

Freshmen Student Induction Program is conducted to help new students adjust and feel comfortable in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the university, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self exploration. It is a well planned event to educate the new entrants along with their parents about Environment, Rules & Regulations, Academic & Administrative procedures, and various opportunities available for students in the University. In addition, students get an opportunity to interact with Senior Dignitaries, their Heads of Schools/Departments, Faculty, peers and also the Alumni of the University and understand the hierarchies to be followed.  Amid the pandemic, education did not get curtailed even for a single day at LPU, and presently thousands of new students from different continents and the country have got admissions for its new academic session 2021-22. In order to make students start a uniquely designed online phase of their new academic journey conveniently, LPU dedicated a 15-day Freshmen Induction Programme in an Innovative manner.
All the newly admitted students have been accommodated by dividing them into multiple batches and multiple sessions were taken by the resource persons. In each batch of 6 days with 23 activities, students have conversed one to one with LPU authorities/officials through Google Meet and witnessed/ participated in mass activities live on LPU’s YouTube account. Various high profiled dignitaries from industry including MDs, CEOs, top officials of diverse sectors and celebrities have also motivated new entrants with their expertise and experiences. The program also includes various cultural sessions, where students participated online as per their individual talent-taste and temperament which acted basically as ice breaking session. Senior students also chalked out many sessions to energize juniors for exhibiting their potential. Students got acquainted with points as mentioned below as an outcome of attending this program.

The Induction Carnival held at the Campus provided students with celebrations of new beginnings, lifelong friendships. All sessions energized them for exhibiting their individual potential.
