Dead and Alive

The concept of the artwork is all about ‘death and life’. The colour can encourage someone with the positive vibes which can spring life .“Dead and Alive” art work is the story about human being. “Color is a power which directly influences the soul.” ~Wassily Kandinsky

It is hard to find life without colors, which play diverse roles in human life. The truth is that the individual has their own sense of feeling this essence, it’s not exactly same for all. The colours bring life for the dead entity. Every colours has its own shade, tone and philosophy. All probably can see its variation by their own perception. Colors also play a negative and positive role in everyone's life. Color communicates so much. It has the power to convey moods and feelings. Through appropriate use of colours, our lives can be balanced such as traffic lights, or yellow versus white directional stripes on a road, which can give us the correct way to follow the traffic rules and saves our lives. The same code of colours can gives us the strength of different culture. Colour is the back-bone of the society and connect us the nature. With these colours a person can play as a child with rainbow.

Lovely Professional University, Punjab is just trying to show the importance of colour in life which symbolizes to the different relations. In contemporary era due to the nuclear family and living relationship, families are affecting and a parting. The love & bonding between family members are only based on money matters. This art work could give a message to the society about the position and role of the family. The art work is related about a story of a every human being. In this project a person, showing a gesture of sad man, has lost his feelings. The different colours around him showing the different relations as red -love, green -nature, blue – hope, sky, yellow -life and positive vibe and white for Patience calmness. These colours are showing the relations and collective energy which providing him positive territory. The rhythmic movement of brush strokes are also symbolizing the ups and down. “Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment.” ~Claude Monet. The splash of colour show the sparks in life.

In this project,a message is given to everyone to learn and study the psychology of colours, to convey their message to others, to understand the limit of a relationship, and tune their life with melody of hues. Through this project, in-depth discussions on the meaning and composition of the life and uses of its colours have been identified and executed by them in their lives. As an artist everyone has a come up with the feeling of artist as “I prefer living in color.” ~David Hockney

The positive energy is shown through the colours and we can relate this with everybody’s life
