Parents Connect

Lovely Professional University has students with diverse backgrounds from all states of India and around 40 countries. This diversity contributes to the richness of the learning environment, yet it also poses challenges like adjustment problems for some students. To overcome such challenges, support from parents is much needed. Parents play a vital role in shaping the lives of their children. LPU also acknowledges the sacrifices made by parents. Therefore, an Independent Division of Student Relationship (DSR) is established in the University Campus especially to take care of student/ parents queries by different channels and is responsible to build strong connection with parents through a number of activities/resources such as Induction Programs, Mentorship Program, Parent Teacher Meetings, Accessibility to University Portals and regular communication with parents through different modes – Phone calls/Letters/ SMS/ Emails.


Induction Program
Parents Induction Program is conducted to help parents of newly admitted students and to make them aware about University Culture , Environment ,Rules & Regulations, Ethics , Academic & Administrative procedures, and various opportunities available for students in the University so as to build healthy bonds with University & its systems, In addition, parents get an opportunity to interact with Senior Dignitaries, their Heads of Schools/Departments, Faculty to give suggestions and feedback on University Systems.


Mentorship Program
The university offers a very unique and interactive student mentorship model wherein dedicated faculty connects with the student and parents to oversee student progression through various academic and nonacademic activities of the university Mentor Details are available on UMS Dashboard and on LPUTOUCH and parents can book appointment with mentor.


Regular Communication with parents
Team DSR connects with parents from time to time so as to apprise them about the academic performance of their ward through

  • SMS/WhatsApp
  • Letters

Parent Teacher Meetings (PTM)
DSR also conducts parent teacher meetings at various locations across the country. Salient features of PTM include:

  • Opportunity to interact with teachers / higher authorities.
  • Sharing updated student’s academic performance.
  • Platform to discuss suggestions and feedback.
