Grievance Reporting Procedure and Office
for Ethical Compliance

Reviewed : 2022
LPU’s internal reporting system assures the confidentiality of whistleblowers and there is a well-defined grievance redressal procedure for staff concerning employment matters to create a safe and transparent work environment. Here are some key steps and features which are followed:

  1. At Lovely Professional University (LPU), the promotion of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct is of utmost importance. In line with this commitment, LPU has implemented a robust Reporting Protection and Whistle-blower Framework to ensure that stakeholders of the University have a safe and confidential platform to report any concerns or instances of misconduct, unethical behaviour, or violations of laws and regulations. The Framework aims at fostering an open psychological environment in which staff members come forward with information without fear of retaliation. It is designed to provide protection and support to those who have reasonable grounds to believe that a violation has occurred or is likely to occur.
NOTE: Refer Reporting Protection and Whistle-blower Framework available at Reporting Protection and Whistle-blower Framework as evidence of the well-defined mechanism to assure the confidentiality of whistleblowers
  2. The University has created an efficient and transparent Relationship Management System (RMS), which is an online module available on University Management System (UMS) where the employees of the University can share their grievances /queries/suggestions related to any issue they are facing while working in the University.
  3. New joiners are oriented and familiarised with the grievance redressal system and whistle blower protection mechanism in staff induction program organized by Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC)
  4. Online Office Management System (OMS) is another interface wherein the employee can seek appointment with the Head of Department/ Head of School/Head of Faculty/ Registrar/Vice Chancellor and discuss his/her concerns in-person. Herein an opportunity is provided to the employees to put forward the issue, understand the existing policies and norms and seek the best possible resolution.
The office of the Registrar is designated as a single point of contact for all concerns related to ethical matters and is responsible for addressing issues related to the same. The office supervises and coordinates all activities related to ethical compliance within the university and plays a crucial role in implementation of ethical principles which are an integral part of the University's decision-making processes and day-to-day operations.
This office addresses various complaints raised w.r.t to injustice, unfair actions, bigotry, dishonesty and corruption.
