Lovely Professional University's NAV-Disha Workshop, organized in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) (an Indian multinational oil and gas company under the ownership of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India), focused on enhancing energy efficiency and promoting clean energy usage. The workshop's central theme revolved around creating awareness about LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) cylinders as a cleaner and more energy-efficient alternative to traditional fuels.

Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency Services for industry

A. Energy audit and energy efficiency improvement of Jalandhar Municipal Corporation
One of the valuable responsibilities of the Jalandhar Municipal Corporation is to provide potable water to the residence in the area of the Municipal Corporation and the major source is groundwater collected through tube wells. Jalandhar Municipal Corporation assigned a task to the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Lovely Professional University to audit and suggest improving the energy performance of its tube well. The number of pumps critically analysed for energy consumption and energy-saving opportunities was 327.
Following important recommendations were made after analysing the data to reduce the energy losses:
(i) Power factor improvement
(ii) Replacement of pump impeller
(iii) Soft starter for underloaded motors
(iv) Regular service of motors

B. Workshop on Energy Conservation Code
Awareness Programme on Energy Conservation Code 2017 received active participation from professionals of PAN India. The program aimed at enabling architects, builders, and civil engineers to understand the ECBC 2017 building compliance approach. The participants were appreciative of the gesture shown by the University in terms of choice of Subject Matter Expert, appropriate learning environment, venue setting, infrastructure, study material and content delivery.

Workshop on Energy Conservation Building Code
The Lovely Professional university accolades the efforts of Dr. Ravinder Kumar ;Dr. Ravindra Dadaji Jilte ; Keval Chandrakant Nikam ; Trupti Keval Nikam for getting their patent granted on A NOVEL METHOD FOR ENERGYRECOVERY FROM WASTE WATER. LPU organized Short Term Course on Energy Management 4.0 organized by Division of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Development Center in association with ENEA (the Italian National Agency for New technologies, Energy and the Environment). ENEA is a public body aimed at research, technological innovation and the provision of advanced services to enterprises, public administration and citizens in the sectors of energy, environment and sustainable economic development. Program aims at capacity building in energy management by using holistic approach, energy analysis of an industry and opportunity to upgrade career in energy management with new aspects of IoT
