Local Community
There are numerous student led organizations who actively engage themselves in social activities with local communities for wider outreach and real-time impact of sustainable goals. Through collaborative initiatives, students of LPU share knowledge with local communities and provide them with vital information about sustainable practices and the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). There is organization of many awareness campaigns within these communities, to empower residents with the skills and understanding necessary to address local sustainability challenges. Such interactions create a mutually beneficial relationship where communities gain valuable insights into sustainable living, while universities enhance their understanding of real-world challenges, fostering a holistic approach to achieving the SDGs. Displaced people and refugees
Mensutral Hygiene awareness and Sanitary Napkins Distribution Drive LPU understood the challenge faced by displaced and refugees due to unafforadability of sanitary napkins by mensurating females and thus conducted drives to give the needy free sanitary napkins to maintain hygiene and gave them knowledge and information about the social taboo and problems associated with it. This gave the affected people to live in a better way and maintain healthy life-style. Many such drives were conducted in many different villages.

Gyandeep Project
LPU-NSS unit Prayas and Sankalp organized an exceptional grooming sessions in nearby slums and villages with an aim to teach the unprivileged children under "Gyandeep" initiative. The students who were unable to afford education especially dispaced communities were educated freely. In addition to it, students were provided with free education kits like copies, pencils, erasers, School bags, etc.

Community Service Activity Joy of Giving by Ludhiana & Chandigarh Chapter along with School of Computer Science & Engineering
The Alumni Ludhiana & Chandigarh Chapter is embarking on a fundraising campaign to support a Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan, running under the able guidance of Shri Ashutosh Maharaj Ji. This sansthan is working for the holistic education program for the underprivileged kids from the slum and rural areas. Currently, this non-profit organization MANTHAN (Sampooran Vikas Kendra) has 450 students, for which they have asked help in terms of school dress, stationary, bags etc as per the requirements mentioned in the below attached letter.
The Joy of Giving" - Alumni Community Service Initiative by Jalandhar Chapter LPU Alumni Association
Another unique community service initiative, taken up by Jalandhar Chapter along with the Alumni of Department of Perfoming Arts-LPU, is through donating grains, grocery, blankets, eatables, water cooler and other basic amenities to Guru Nank Birdh, Ananth, Apahaj, Netraheen Ashram running under the Help Age International Charitable Trust (Regd.).
Bags for Dreams - Alumni CSR Activity on Home-coming Day
Unique CSR initiative by LPU Alumni, taken up by Jalandhar and Chandigarh Alumni Chapters, is through donating bags for propelling more than 100 underprivileged students towards a brighter future. The beneficiary pupils come from diverse backgrounds including orphanages. The massive success of previous CSR campaigns, where donations were raised for helping those in need, speak volumes about the humanitarian values imbibed by our alumni.
Echoes of Freedom " 9th Alumni CSR Activity Supported by Bengaluru Chapter
LPUAA’s Bengaluru-Chapter Vertos joined hands together to renovate the old computer lab of Shree Ramana Maharishi Academy for the Blind (SRMAB) and also donating a much-needed drinking-water storage tank. As the availability of good books in braille is limited and the present computer lab is old and semi-functional, the knowledge and exposure of the kids get limited to age-old textbooks. With the aim of raising INR 60,000 in one week and donate the necessary computer accessories along with drinking-water steel storage tank (with 3/4 taps) to the academy.

With aim of LPU Alumni Association's objective of 'Giving Back to Society', Jaipur, Rajasthan Chapter has taken the initiative of its another Community Service Activity under which they are going to support “Rajkiya Uchh Madhyamik Vidhyalaya”, a government school identified at Bindayaka, Jhotwara, Jaipur. The credit for this wonderful initiative goes to Mr. Jitendra Dhaka (Founder & CEO, Banksathi.com), B. Tech CSE, 2013 batch pass out (President, LPU AA - Jaipur Chapter). The essentials to be donated under this objective are Floor carpets, Electric Water Cooler, Stationary, Other basic amenities.

LPU Alumni Association’s Hyderabad & Bengaluru Chapters have raised funds to help needy kids, under the campaign of ‘Transforming India’. Mr. Aditya, President Pune Alumni Chapter took initiative in identifying "Active Foundation", a group of young corporate professionals came together to set up a team to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their families, and communities. Now, he along with other team members is taking charge of this campaign for raising the amount of Rs. 50K. The amount raised by the Pune Alumni Chapter will go towards the computer education of children.

LPU Alumni Associations Delhi-Noida & Gurugram rolled out a new community service activity 'Society For Social Security And Empowerment' (SANSE), a social voluntary organization pledge to raise an amount of 25K that will go towards the computer education, skill development, and basic amenities required for the underprivileged children.
