Partnership with UN Environment Programme for Data submission for Race to Zero
University actively participates in conduct, implement and assessing outcome with respect to 17 Sustainable Development Goals so as become complete sustainable campus by 2029 as per University’s commitment in ‘Race to Zero’, which is EAUC – The Alliance for Sustainability Leadership in Education, supported by IPCC's strong message to achieve global Carbon Neutrality. This campaign is run in partnership with EAUC, Second Nature and UN Environment Programme. The public version to publishing annual SDG reports on the progress towards achieving the Goals is essential for several reasons is University’s commitment towards collaboration to measure data on SDGs.

Lovely Professional University United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is an active member of United Nations Academic Impact which aligns institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting and contributing to the realization of United Nations goals and mandates, including the promotion and protection of human rights, access to education, sustainability and conflict resolution. UNAI monitors the progress of University towards the goals set by United Nations.

Member of ‘The SDG Accord’
Lovely Professional University is an active member of ‘The SDG Accord’ that inspires the critical role that education has in delivering the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the value the interlinked objectives brings to governments, business and wider society. The Accord is a commitment made by learning institutions to one another, to do more to deliver the SDGs, annually report on individual progress and share the learning with each other both nationally and internationally. The annual report 2023 published by The SDG Accord marks LPU as member institution to share the SDG information.

Univeristy has collaborated with many academic and research organizations globally to work and research on different topics and the data is shared worldwide. University has more than 5060 publications available in Open Access mode where data is shared internationally. This data has proven to play important role in developing new technologies, medicines, improving human life and thereby contributing towards sustainable life.
Sustainability Data Sharing Publicly
Lovely Professional University annually publishes its progress on achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) so as to meets Carbon Neutral status by 2029, on its website ‘Sustainability’. The progress involves data sharing on events conducted, renewable power generation, STP Water treated, etc. In addition, University also tracks its GHG emissions as per standard norms to minimize carbon emissions from its buildings. The data is shared publicly so that all National and International bodies can gather this data to monitor global progress towards attainment of SDGs. This is in alignment with University’s commitment to carbon neutral campus.
