Take the one-minute Challenge* on World Water Day
LPU NSS, under the aegis of the Department of Community Service and the Student Welfare Wing, organized the Take the One-Minute Challenge as a community service initiative in celebration of World Water Day, which took place from March 15th to March 22nd, 2022. This engaging program encouraged community members to grab their phones or cameras and create a 60-second video addressing the critical issue of groundwater. The theme for that year’s challenge was “Groundwater – Making the Invisible Visible.” Participants were invited to share their personal stories related to groundwater, focusing on how it affected their lives. They discussed whether there was enough groundwater in their area, its safety for use, and its primary applications locally. To enter the challenge, participants uploaded their videos to YouTube or Vimeo and shared them on social media platforms using the designated hashtags. This community service initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of groundwater conservation and foster meaningful discussions within the community surrounding water sustainability.
