Thermogravimetric analysis is an equipment that measures the change in weight and hence mass of a sample with change in temperature. Mass of a sample changes due to various chemical or physical changes sensed by the equipment as thermal events. These chemical/physical changes or thermal evens may be desorption, absorption, sublimation, vaporization, oxidation, reduction and decomposition.
