Purpose: This financial aid scheme is established to provide financial assistance to students whose parents serve as educators or teachers. The purpose of the financial aid is to recognize the contributions of educators to society and to help their families access affordable, high-quality higher education. By supporting the education of educators’ wards, we aim to build a future where education remains a central value, encouraging academic success across generations.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for this Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:

Parental Occupation: The applicant’s parent(s) must be full-time teachers or educators currently employed at any recognized educational institution, including public or private schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, state boards, NIOS, or other national or state-recognized educational boards (COBSE affiliated) and UGC approved Universities and affiliated colleges.

Admission Eligibility: The applicant must meet the general admission requirements for their chosen program of study at the university.

Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India.

Financial aid benefits under this scheme:

Category for Application Benefit
Category 1: Not Eligible for scholarship or financial aid 20% financial aid on programme fee
Category 2: Students availing any other scholarship 20% financial aid on the remaining fee after the scholarship*

*Eligible students will receive an additional 20% financial aid on the remaining fee after deduction of the scholarship. Students availing any other financial will not be eligible for additional benefits.

Scope: The scholarship is available for all regular full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and diploma programs offered by the university. It is not applicable for distance learning or online programmes.

Application Process

Application Form: Eligible students can apply for this financial aid through the email to financialaid@lpu.co.in along with required document on or before the last date of application. The application form must be completed and submitted with all required documents by the stated deadline.

Required Documents:

  • Proof of parent’s employment (employment letter, service certificate, etc.).
  • Identity proof of both the applicant and their parent(s).

Application Deadline: The application form must be submitted on or before the last date of admission.

Selection Process: Applications will be reviewed by the university’s financial aid team or committee. Applicants will be notified of the decision within two weeks [10 working days] from the application considered complete in all respects.

Disbursement of Benefits: The financial aid benefits will be directly awarded to the student’s fee account, reducing the amount payable as per the approved financial aid within 10 working days from date of application approved by the university.

Conditions for Revocation of Scholarship:

The university reserves the right to revoke the scholarship under the following conditions:

  • Submission of false or misleading information during the application process.
  • Disciplinary action against the student for any misconduct.

I am expecting to get around 60% marks. Will I get any scholarship?
LPU offers a variety of scholarships to support all deserving candidates.
