LPU houses a Central Library and a library in each School to provide an easy access to a large database of reading resources to its students and staff with various academic pursuits.
The libraries contribute to the fulfillment of the University's Mission by:
- Acquiring, organizing, maintaining and making accessible a rich collection of print and non-print, primary and secondary material in various disciplines to support both students and faculty
- Providing a conducive environment for the optimum use of such material.

The University’s Central Library is a state of the art Rf-Id equipped automated library with all library books and other study material furnished with Rf-Id tags. The library houses a rich collection of text and reference books, journals, magazines, audio/videos, CD-ROMs, research reports, online databases and data analysis software, etc in all areas and branches of study to cater to the needs of all academic disciplines.
The patrons have an easy access to the large library resources through the online software which enables them to search the availability of various books and other reference material available in the libraries at the comfort of their houses as well. The books can be requested and reserved and the details of one’s library account can be checked online with the help of the state-of-the-art library search engine.
The Central Library also houses a cyber café having 250 terminals for providing free access to internet to the students in the library itself. The internet facility is offered with a 300 Mbps dedicated leased line. |

Facilities available in the Library
- Library Membership: Any student/ faculty member who has joined the University can become the member of the Library.
- Periodical & Newspaper Section: Every library holds a very rich collection of relevant periodicals and magazines.
- Net Lab: Internet facility with a 100 Mbps dedicated leased line is available within the library premises for easy access of information.
- Reference service: Ready help and guidance is provided to all searching for any book or other reference material within the library.
- Easy search through software: Students can make easy search of particular title or book in the library with the help of state-of-the-art library software.
- Xerox facility: For the convenience of staff and students the libraries have Xerox machines to offer Xerox facility.
- Cloak Room:Â The libraries have cloak room for keeping the belongings of the students safe while they are within the library premises.
