The following is the admission procedure followed for International students to any of the programmes/courses offered by the University.
- An International student is required to submit an application in the given application format to the University for a Provisional Eligibility Letter. He/she can submit this application any time between 1st January and 31st June for admission in the forthcoming academic year, which normally starts in the third week of August.
- The application must be accompanied by:
- Attested copies of all the relevant educational transcripts, certificates etc. confirming that the candidate is eligible for admission to the programme/course which he/she wants to join.
The documents should be attested by either the Ministry of Education in student's home country or by the student's Mission in India or the Indian Mission in the student's home country.
- A copy of passport
- Four passport sized photographs
- In case the student wishes to apply for migration, he/she must provide the official details about the subjects he/she has completed, course structure, syllabus and a copy of mark sheets/transcripts.
- In the case of applications for M.Phil./PhD, five copies of research proposal.
- The student should pay the processing fee of Rs 500/- either in cash or enclose a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar.
- After scrutiny of the application, if the student is found eligible for admission to the programme/course, he/she will be issued a provisional eligibility letter which would enable him/her to obtain a Student Visa from the Indian Mission in his/her home country.
- Only on the production of the Student Visa, endorsed to Lovely Professional University, the student will be given the final admission to the programme/course of his/her choice, provided there is a seat in that particular programme/course is available at that point of time.
- The student will be required to conform to all the rules and conditions mentioned in the letter issued to him/her. The student will not be entitled to get the final admission later than the last date mentioned in the provisional eligibility letter issued to him/her.
- At the time of admission to the programme/course, the International student will be required to pay the entire fee including tuition fee as prescribed by the University at the time of admission.
- The entire fee paid to the University is governed by the refund policy of the University.
- If, at any later stage, the student is found not eligible for admission, his/her admission will be cancelled.
- An International student can seek admission to any of the professional programme/courses at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level, such as Engineering, Pharmacy, Management etc; against the reserved seats. However, he/she will have to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Government of India preferably prior to applying for admission. He/she will be permitted to submit such a certificate even after taking admission. However, the admission will be confirmed only after submission of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Government of India. If the Government of India refuses to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to a student for any reason, his/her admission to the programme/course will automatically stand cancelled.
- An International student will have to undergo a medical checkup and HIV Test at his/her own cost and submit a report of his/her medical examination to the University.
Final admission of International students is subject to clearance of medical check-up.
- International students will have to obtain a provisional eligibility letter from the International Students' Office for getting admission to the courses they desire to join. The student will get this provisional eligibility letter only after he/she is found eligible for provisional admission to the respective course. All the rules and conditions mentioned in the letter issued will be binding on him/her. He/she will have to apply for this provisional eligibility letter preferably between the months of January and June of the next academic year.
Note: Provisional admissions would be finalized only on production of:
- Original eligibility letter.
- Original academic transcripts, degrees etc.
- The student's passport with a Student Visa endorsed to Lovely Professioanl University.
- Complete payment of all relevant fee.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Government of India, in case of professional programmes/courses.
- Medical check-up clearance.
